My Story
After earning my Juris Doctorate law degree from Florida State University, I served as a Senior Staff Attorney to the Honorable Michael P. Baird in Clayton County, Georgia. Working within the Georgia court system, I witnessed firsthand how far insurance companies would go to avoid paying those that were injured due to someone else’s negligence. I found this behavior to be disturbing, and because I wanted to use my law education and experience to help people, I decided to fight for the rights of injured individuals. In order to go up against the unjust strategies of insurance companies, I’ve dedicated my practice to personal injury cases.

Requirements for Scholarship Eligibility:
United States Citizen (or permanent resident).
Enrolling or currently a full-time student at an accredited college or university in the U.S. for completion of an undergraduate degree in History, English, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics or Business.
Limit of one entry per contestant.
Employees of The Law Offices of Darwin F. Johnson and their immediate families are ineligible.

Why did you choose it?
How will studying this major help you become a lawyer?
Why do you deserve to win this scholarship?
