    You must seek medical treatment. Ask your employer for a list of approved physicians and seek the medical care you require. If you need emergency treatment, go to the emergency room. Doctor visits, especially right after the incident, can link the accident to your injury and help you prove your claim.

    Report the injury to your employer and complete any of the required paperwork provided. You must be as specific as possible when making your report.
